Overview
Dry and dusty laconic and stoic, the people of Dorado are a different sort from much of the Empire, with strange ideas.
Most of Dorado is given over to ranching, a form of herding animals around large areas of land. Even Dorado itself doesn’t have cobbled streets, preferring dry packed earth and adobe structures, with a sense of sturdy pioneering that drives much of their way of life.
Doradans are often more tradition bound, but in a more relaxed way – individual autonomy is one of the most prized aspects of their way of life. Doradans are a quiet people, given to action over word, and integrity over honor. They believe in the law, and in the Charter, and they put family forward, wile also beig a tough, earnest people that will not back down from a fight, but only fight as a last resort.
Horses, wagons, and gunslingers are a lot of what folks think about, forgetting that Dorado is also the home to the Sand Sea, and the assorted wealth that comes from it.
While they have the fewest of the terrifying left-over machines from the war, they have a higher than normal number of strange creatures, like sand wraiths, and are more generally known for tiier ability to handle animals than they are for their ability to craft things.
