Professions are wholly different on Wyrlde and require some explaining.

Profession Descriptions

Ability Scores

Each Class has 3 Primary Ability Scores that are important to it.

Two of these scores will be their Saving Throw scores.

Mana is the score that is most concerned with magical ability and is used for Spelling, but the Affinity and the Axiom determine the scores use for Spell Saves (Affinity) and Spell Casting (Axiom). Bards are unusual.

Primary Ability scores have a minimum score of 11 in order to be a member of that profession. Multiclass characters must have a minimum score of 13 in all six of their Profession’s Abilities.

Axiom & Affinity

Excepting Bards, each class has an Axiom and Affinity in relation to Magic.

Spell Cast & Spell Attack

Each class that is able to use magic has a Spell Casting score determined by their Axiom (Kno, Wis, Per) and a Spell Attack score determined by their Affinity (Kno, Wis, Per, Cha, San).

Nulls always have Con for both.

Saving Throws

These are the two ability scores for saving throws for that profession. One will always be one of the three Primary Ability scores.

Spell Proficiency

These are the spell proficiencies that the class starts with. Remember that these are necessary to learn Mysteries.

Spells known per level is listed below. This is the number of spells that an individual can hold in their head of each Myserie.

Orders & Mysteries

Each class has its own particular way of receiving Orders and Mysteries, as each places a different value on the two competing draws for attention.

Orders and Mysteries are always a trade off – the degree of study, dedication, devotion, and discipline involved in each of them separately limits the ability to focus one more than one area.
